An independent consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the third sector, I am skilled at working with people on effective strategic planning, campaigning for change and building capacity within organisations.
Specialising in policy analysis, I worked in Parliament in my early career. I am skilled in devising campaigns to influence government and parliamentarians.
I have held senior positions with a wide variety of voluntary and community organisations including Charities Aid Foundation, National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), MIND, Age Concern England and Bradford Metro Council for Voluntary Service.
I am experienced in working with Government Departments, especially the Home Office and the Cabinet Office.
As the first Chief Executive of a relatively new public agency, Capacitybuilders, I have first hand experience of building organisations effectively and motivating staff.
